What findyl is
findyl is a price comparison and discovery service for vinyl records. We aggregate pricing information from third-party UK retailers and marketplaces and display it in one place so you can compare options before buying.
findyl does not sell vinyl records. We do not take payment, process orders, hold stock, or handle delivery. When you click a link to a retailer on findyl, you leave our site and enter into a transaction directly with that retailer. Any purchase you make is between you and the retailer — findyl is not a party to that transaction.
Purchases and transactions
findyl has no involvement in, and accepts no responsibility for, any transaction between you and a third-party retailer. This includes (but is not limited to):
- The price, quality, condition, or description of any product
- Stock availability — a product shown on findyl may be out of stock by the time you reach the retailer
- Delivery, shipping, customs charges, or delays
- Returns, refunds, or exchanges
- Payment processing and security
- Customer service or dispute resolution
If you have a problem with a purchase made through a retailer you found on findyl, you should contact that retailer directly. Your consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and any other applicable UK legislation apply to your transaction with the retailer, not with findyl.
Price accuracy
Prices displayed on findyl are fetched from third-party retailer APIs, data feeds, and marketplaces. We do our best to show accurate, up-to-date pricing, but we cannot guarantee that prices shown on findyl will match the current price on the retailer's website at the time you visit.
Prices may be inaccurate for various reasons, including:
- Retailer prices changing after our last data refresh
- Temporary promotions or flash sales that start or end between updates
- Currency conversion or VAT differences
- Errors in retailer data feeds
- Products being discontinued or delisted
Always verify the price on the retailer's website before completing a purchase. The price shown on findyl is indicative and provided for comparison purposes only.
Product matching
findyl uses automated matching to connect retailer listings with album and artist data. While we work to make this as accurate as possible, matching is not perfect. Occasionally, a retailer listing may be incorrectly matched to the wrong album, artist, or edition. If you spot an error, we'd appreciate you letting us know at hello@findyl.co.uk.
Always check the specific product details (edition, format, pressing, condition) on the retailer's website before purchasing.
Retailer coverage
findyl compares prices from a selection of UK retailers and marketplaces. We do not claim to cover every retailer or every available listing. The absence of a retailer from findyl does not mean they don't stock a particular record. We recommend checking other sources if you want to be certain you've found the best price.
The order in which retailer results are displayed is based on price (lowest first) and is not influenced by any commercial relationship or commission rate.
Affiliate links
findyl earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click a link to a retailer and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from that retailer or their affiliate network. This is how findyl is funded. For full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
Affiliate relationships do not influence which retailers are shown, the order of results, or the editorial content on findyl. You never pay more as a result of using an affiliate link — the price is the same as if you'd visited the retailer directly.
Editorial content
Articles, guides, and other editorial content on findyl represent our opinions and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes. While we aim for accuracy in all factual claims (credits, dates, details), editorial content should not be taken as professional advice of any kind.
findyl's editorial content is independent. No retailer, label, or artist pays for coverage or influences what we write. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more detail on how we maintain editorial independence.
Third-party content and links
findyl displays data sourced from third parties including MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, Last.fm, and various retailer APIs. We also link to external websites. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of any third-party service or website. Links to external sites do not constitute an endorsement of those sites.
Intellectual property
Album artwork displayed on findyl is sourced from the Cover Art Archive and is used in accordance with their terms. Artist and album metadata is sourced from MusicBrainz, an open database. All trademarks, retailer names, and logos belong to their respective owners.
The findyl name, logo, design, and original editorial content are © 2026 findyl. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute findyl's original content without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, findyl and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of, or inability to use, findyl
- Any transaction between you and a third-party retailer accessed through findyl
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated pricing or product information
- Any loss or damage resulting from reliance on information provided on findyl
- Interruptions, errors, or unavailability of the service
findyl is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Availability
We aim to keep findyl available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We accept no liability for any loss caused by downtime.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use findyl for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from findyl beyond normal browsing
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the site
- Attempt to access systems or data not intended for you
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of findyl after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
